The First Harvest Of Demeter - 2025

Hey Witches,

Today we gather in gratitude and joy as we host a Festival of the First Harvest, honoring none other than the powerful and nurturing Goddess Demeter.

Demeter, the divine force behind the fertility of the earth, the turning of seasons, and the bounty of our crops, teaches us the sacred rhythm of growth, sacrifice, and renewal. She is the grain goddess, the mother of nourishment, and the reason we are able to reap what we sow—both literally and spiritually.

As we break bread, share fruits of the land, and celebrate the abundance around us, we give thanks to Demeter for her blessings and guidance. May we never forget the cycles she governs, the warmth she brings, and the strength she embodies.

Let us offer her our reverence with this prayer:

“Blessed Demeter, nourisher of fields,

Lady of the golden grain,

We give thanks for your gifts of life and growth.

May your sacred harvest feed our bodies and spirits.

Walk with us through the turning seasons,

And keep the earth ever fruitful under your care.”
