Because of this they have become the symbol of Protection and Action. Feared by many and held in high regard by others the story of the wasp has grown from land to land, with some saying the creation of the wasp was from the Devil himself. By dripping a single drop of his blood in the a hive of bees they transformed and plagued the land cursing the honey farmers who took to much from the earth. In Celtic lore, the wasp is associated with the anger of Danu at man’s wrongdoings, while in the Hellenic path Wasps where seen as symbol of the restless dead and they believed to have been birthed from the bodies of those who had not undergone the correct funeral rites or had been banished before death. No matter your beliefs of this creature there is no disputing there might.
