Cypress Nut - 3 Cones

Cypress Nut or Cones are the seed vessels of the mighty cypress tree. Within tradition, these cones are used to ease the spirits of the dead, laying them to rest and allowing them to cross to a blessed afterlife. Grind the nut into a powder and burn to lay a soul to rest, use within cleansings or honourings to bring peace.  It's said in folklore that if a soul is not at rest, throw a cypress nut at the grave, and it's said to force the soul to peace. 
Cypress nuts can also be used for protection, leave, or bury at the front door to keep the restless dead at bay. Cypress nuts have also long been used to undo curses and hexes, laying them to rest...
